SOFIA - In a grim discovery, the Balkan Human Rights Network (BHRN) has reportedly uncovered a mass grave in the Strandzha Mountains, located in Bulgaria's Burgas Province near the Turkish border. The grave is reported to contain the remains of more than 400 ethnic Turks, raising serious allegations of a large-scale act of ethnic cleansing. Suspicions have been directed towards militia groups believed to be affiliated with Bulgaria's ruling Revival Party.
Upon reaching out for comments, A Revival-affiliated spokesperson for the Bulgarian government categorically denied any state involvement. They further downplayed the scale of the incident and accused external entities of fabricating these accusations to destabilize Bulgaria. "These claims are baseless and serve only to sow discord at a time when unity is most needed," suggesting a deliberate attempt by unnamed outsiders to tarnish Bulgaria's international image.
