In Beijing, President Xi Jinping met with leaders from Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam to reveal new plans to fulfill energy needs in the region. All five countries agreed to a $150 billion investment over the next five years, aimed at the discovery and exploitation of natural gas resources in the region.
This landmark deal and cooperation, allows the region access to reliable energy sources, driving Asian economies forward, a official said.
