Japanese protests erupt against Chongryon Schools

Chongryon schools have historically functioned as cultural and educational centers for Japan's ethnic Korean population with supposed ties to North Korea.

Protests have erupted outside Chongryon schools in various locations across Japan. These institutions, serving the ethnic Korean community, are perceived as bastions of North Korean cultural and educational influence.

The recent North Korean missile tests have ignited public demonstrations against these schools. The protests manifest nationalistic sentiments and heightened security apprehensions among the Japanese populace, reflecting a deepening concern over r regional peace and stability.

The mother who lost her son during the Beetle Ferry Incident is leading the protest. She states, "We can't forget or forgive what they have done."
