The ROK has just released GPS data that reveals the exact location of the naval vessel that apprehended the Russian intelligence ship. The data proves that the ROK Coast Guard was operating legally within its sovereign waters.

The ROK would like to reiterate its commitment to dialogue and urges the Russian Federation to reconsider its actions. It would like to remind Russia that it unilaterally acted against standard Korean protocol, ignored Korean attempts to communicate and rapidly escalated the situation.
