Statement on DPRK’s ICBM Testing

The Government of Japan condemns the DPRK’s recent ICBM launch over Hokkaido. The safety and security of the Japanese citizens is a top priority for the Government of Japan. We are in the process of investigating this launch and confirming the facts and reasons for this launch with DPRK. However, in the interest of regional stability, we will continue to work with the Republic of Korea and the DPRK to address ongoing conflict and tensions in the region.
