Turkey Defends its Continental Shelf

The Government of Turkey announces that four F-35 fighter jets conducted routine military exercises over the islands of Meis (Kastellorizo) and Kardak in the Aegean Sea. This comes as a direct response to the unacceptable neo-colonial tactics employed by Greece and Germany and their illegal agreement for the development and operation of a transnational gas pipeline.

Turkey remains committed to resolving differences through peaceful means. We call for constructive dialogue and cooperation to address these longstanding issues and ensure the peaceful coexistence of all nations in the region.
