UK Official Statement on ROK and Japan Operation

The UK would like to offer its official condolences to the governments of the Republic of Korea and Japan for the eleven lives lost in their operation to rescue the hostages from the Kyushu BEETLE ferry. The United Kingdom would also like to offer its congratulations in their success of rescuing everyone else on the ferry. Their commitment to deepen their partnership is commendable and creates greater stability in the region.
